Benny Is Back! You 90′s babies probably have no idea who Benny Boom is but he is a highly talented Movie/Music Video Director. I mean he has directed some of the best music videos like T.I.’s “Big Things Poppin,” Ciara’s “1,2 Step” and now my two favorite songs/ videos; Nicki Minaj featuring Chris Brown, “Right By My Side” and Trey Songz “Heart Attack.” I already loved these songs but now the videos make me love them even more.

Mr. Boom hasn’t been on the scene much like he used to but he’s definitely not going any where. I look forward to seeing more of his visual genius on the screen.
This month as well as last, I have been bombarded with the likes of negative people. Some “friends” and some not friends in the slightest, just coming up and killing me softly with their negative stories. I want to concentrate on positive things, so I thought this was a funny and true way to express how I feel when I’m having a great positive day and someone comes along to complain to me about some crap, or talk crap about someone or just come with their negative aura around me… This is how I TRULY feel and what I TRULY want to say and do when they come around…

They continue to go on with their negativity…

I’m more annoyed now…

You guys know that I am a blog reader at heart. I have a list of blogs that I go to everyday and catch up on entertainment news, my fashion fix and even hair. My friend Deana (who has been seen on my blog with me HERE) has started her own blog called The Kinky New Yorker. Owwww! Deana and I have been talking about her starting her own blog for months but she took her leap of faith and I’m glad she did. She has had natural hair for over five years, so her blog gives a lot of hair advice and gorgeous protective styling tips for anyone. The Kinky New Yorker is not just a blog about hair though. It has fashion features too that I loveee! I see some shoes that I want to get from her ShoeMint post! SMH!

I don’t have much to say today because the pics speak for themselves! Beyonce is the KING! She showed up to the MET Gala as if she was out for the crown and hands down she got it. Beyonce looked fab in her Givenchy dress. Go Bey!
Nail Art has always been around. I even remember almost getting suspended in 4th grade for sneaking off the playground, going to the corner store with my friend to get Lee Press-On Nails!!! ***Don’t even ask. We can discuss that another time. LOL*** Girls are serious about their nails and there are so many things you can do to them. They even made life easier by creating Nail Polish Strips! I like my nails to look clean and nice but it does get hard for me to upkeep because once a nail breaks, I’m over it.

Happy Friday! I got this pic from my friend Fabie’s Instagram. I died with laughter looking at it so I decided to share it with you guys. It’s Friday and the weekend is here but that doesn’t stop no show. LOL.
There are plenty of people in the world who love what they do and look forward to grinding out on the weekends. One of those people are DJ Ruckus. His life revolves around making the weekends of others club hopping fun as being the maestro of the party. I enjoyed watching his Behind The Hustle interview. It just shows you that when you love what you do, it doesn’t matter if it’s Friday or Monday because work does not seem like work. When you love what you do, “work” becomes “living life with passion”. Strive to live your best life. You only get one.
I have been addicted to Zumba class for a good amount of months now. I do love it but I need to concentrate on getting my cardio sky high and the best way to get there is by RUNNING. I love running. Starting May, I am going to push myself to run as often as possible and get on the level of running for a hour straight and at a fast pace. Today was just a preview. I ran and walked for one hour for 3.52 miles while burning 443 calories. I can do way better than that and I am.

Shopping online has become a huge thing. A lot of people like to be able to go to the stores and try on the clothes but I like to be able to purchase unique pieces and I find the best one’s online. I like TopShop because their clothes are fun yet flirty. If you are a New Yorker, TopShop is also giving you the best of both worlds. You can shop from their easy to navigate online store and you can also take a trip to Manhattan to their actual store.
Above are just a few of my favorites that I found on their website. I am totally in love with those dresses!!! They look like they would fit my body type perfectly. The biker vest is another must have of mine. It cost $110 but you can have this vest for a long time and wear with with almost anything. It is a very versatile piece. The accessories at TopShop are endless. I could just shop that section all day long. The Punctuation Ring tho!!!! I need that! Give me it all.
